We’ve all heard comments like “You have to work on your relationship” or “a marriage takes real work”. Well it can be confusing to actually understand what this means. Physical work is much easier to understand, both in terms of what effort you have to put in, and the rewards you get for doing it. With relationships it’s much more difficult to establish what “work” means, and the results may be less obvious, or may take a little longer to be produced.

It is for this reason that finding someone to advise you can be really helpful. Even better is when you are given step by step techniques to follow, as emotionally turbulent times are unfortunately, and perhaps ironically, not ideal for working through relationship issues.
